You and Me (Board Book)

This beautifully illustrated poem contrasts the characteristics of a young boy and girl. The left page always describes the girl, and the boy is always on the right. A simple poem runs through the entire book with only one short line per page, "I'm a circle/ You're a square/You're a tiger/I'm a bear." The paintings are detailed enough that children will enjoy looking for animals hidden in the border and will thereby uncover far more information from each page than the two or three words provide. The story emphasizes everyone's individual characteristics and implies that opposites can be happy together.
