My New Best Friend (Friends for Keeps Series)

Ida and Stacey are best friends and nothing is more fun for them than being together. The girls are learning, though, that life does not always go your way. Well, that is true until one day, when they find a magical mermaid night-light. They build a shrine, plug it in, and the mermaid makes special things happen for the girls. The mermaid helps them deal with annoying Jenna at school and Dad's new girlfriend. In the end, the girls learn that they cannot rely on an old night-light. They must rely on themselves.
