Mark Twain was the pen name of Samuel Langhorne Clemens. American writer, journalist, humorist, Twain’s varied works include novels, travel narratives, short stories, sketches, and essays. He’s famous for The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, and has been likened to Walt Whitman as one of the most quintessentially American writers this country has produced.
