Ghosts for Breakfast

The Troublesome Triplets always have something to complain about. Now, they claim to have seen ghosts in Farmer Tanaka's field! A boy and his father venture out to see, and find dozens of long, thin, and very white ghosts looming in the moonlight. Papa decides to teach the boy how to face his fears. As they trudge through the night they see the same shadowy forms and hear an ominous woo-o-o-o. The boy runs away, but when he hears Papa screaming, he returns to save him and finds that the ghosts are much less frightening than he thought. Set in the 1920s, this story of a Japanese American boy and his father investigating a report of ghosts is the perfect book for Halloween.
