Forever, or a Long, Long Time
Flora and her brother, Julian, don't believe they were born. They've lived in so many foster homes, they can't remember where they came from. And even now that they've been adopted, Flora still struggles to believe in forever. So along with their new mother, Flora and Julian begin a journey to go back and discover their past — for only then can they really begin to build their future.
Flora and Julian have always been together. Where Julian is good with words, Flora is strong at math. For a long time, it has always been just the two of them. And now that they have found a place to belong, Flora is trying her best to trust two more people: her new dad and her new mom, whom she calls Person.
But then Person tells Flora there will soon be a new baby in the house, and Flora's world is shattered. She is worried that Person's love divided three ways means less love. Maybe not enough love. But she made a promise to Person to believe in forever. And together, they'll begin a journey to go back and discover their past—for only then can they really begin to build their future.
