Monster in the Mudball (Artifact Inspector)

After Jin's baby brother, Smiler, drools on a big ball of mud in their neighbor Madalitso's bedroom, the mudball sprouts huge chicken-feet legs and runs off. Jin gives chase, hoping to put everything back together before Madalitso can see they broke her possession, but he loses track of the monster near the Oozeburn, a polluted creek in the center of London. That's when Jin meets Chief Inspector of Ancient Artifacts A.J. Zauyamakanda--Mizz Z., for short--who has arrived to inspect the mudball and insists that Jin help her find it. But Zilombo, the monster released from the mudball, gains new, frightening powers every time she reawakens. She's cleverer than ever before, and she likes to eat babies. When Frankie, Jin's older sister, gets distracted along the Oozeburn and forgets to watch their baby brother, Smiler is easy pickings for Zilombo!
